Level 3 Teaching Assistant – SEN Support (Full‑Time)

About the role

This is a full‑time, term‑time only position supporting a child with complex special educational needs (SEN) in a Liverpool school. You will start in September on a short‑term contract and work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the child accesses the curriculum and thrives in the classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support to the designated pupil throughout the school day.
• Assist the child in accessing learning materials, regulating emotions, and engaging positively with peers.
• Collaborate daily with the class teacher and SENCO to tailor interventions and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate records of support activities and report any concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children with complex SEN in a school or care setting.
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or equivalent).
• Genuine passion for helping children overcome learning barriers.
