Level 7 Health & Care Intelligence Specialist Apprentice

About the role

The Health & Care Intelligence Specialist Apprentice will join the Public Health team of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. This three-year, full-time apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with a Level 7 qualification, allowing you to develop analytical expertise while supporting evidence-based public health decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse large health and care datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities for service improvement.
• Support the development and maintenance of local surveillance systems.
• Produce data-driven insights and visualisations for policy makers and senior analysts.
• Collaborate with NHS partners and other council departments to ensure data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to evidence-based reports that inform public health strategies.

Required profile

• Early-career analyst with no more than three years’ experience in public health, primary or secondary care.
• Motivated to learn through a structured Level 7 apprenticeship.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohort of apprentices.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
