LGV Class 2 Driver

About the role

The role involves collecting, loading and transporting waste from waste transfer stations and household waste recycling centres across Hampshire. Drivers operate LGV Class 2 vehicles, follow UK traffic regulations and ensure safety for themselves and the public. The position works a 42.5‑hour week with start times between 6am‑7am, Friday to Tuesday, with Wednesday and Thursday off.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, load and transport waste from designated sites.
• Operate LGV Class 2 vehicle in compliance with UK traffic laws.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork each shift.
• Ensure load security and weight compliance.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 licence.
• Current CPC and Digi/Tachograph card.
• Experience driving LGV vehicles; Roll on Roll Off experience advantageous.

Required skills

• Safe vehicle operation.
• Knowledge of UK traffic regulations.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately.
