LGV Driver – Construction Materials Delivery

About the role

Breedon Group plc is seeking an enthusiastic Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) Driver to join its team in Oban. You will be responsible for delivering concrete, coated asphalt and aggregates to customers and depots, ensuring safety, punctuality and compliance with all legal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate LGV (Class 2) vehicles safely in line with UK road laws and company policies.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any faults.
• Load and unload goods using appropriate manual‑handling techniques or equipment.
• Deliver products on schedule, completing accurate paperwork and digital logs.
• Maintain communication with the Distribution Department regarding delays or route changes.
• Secure loads during transit and provide professional customer service.
• Work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends.

Required profile

• Valid Category C or Category C+E licence.
• Current Driver CPC qualification.
• Proven experience as an LGV driver (preferred).
• Good knowledge of local road networks and route planning.
• Ability to work independently under pressure.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn about the construction materials sector.
