LGV Driver

About the role

Breedon Group plc is looking for an enthusiastic Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) Driver to join its Bristol team. You will deliver concrete, coated asphalt and aggregates to customers and depots, ensuring safety, punctuality and compliance with all regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate LGV (Class 1 or 2) safely in line with UK road laws and company policies.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any faults.
• Load and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques or equipment.
• Deliver products to customers or depots on schedule, completing accurate paperwork and digital entries.
• Maintain communication with the Distribution Department regarding delays, issues or route changes.
• Secure loads during transit and complete delivery logs and timesheets.
• Provide professional customer service and represent the company positively.
• Adapt to flexible working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.

Required profile

• Valid Category C or C+E licence with a current Driver CPC qualification.
• Proven experience as an LGV driver (preferred).
• Good knowledge of local road networks and route planning.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and handle pressure.
• Positive, hard‑working attitude with a willingness to learn about the construction materials sector.
