LGV Driver

About the role

DPD is looking for a reliable LGV Driver to join its national transport team in Bridgwater. You will operate a modern fleet, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on LGV‑friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to follow routes and maintain 100% compliance.
• Maintain professional relationships with dispatchers and customers.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritize safe driving in all conditions.

Required profile

• Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) licence, CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum 6 months experience operating Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent knowledge of UK road networks and a safety‑first mindset.
• Resourceful problem‑solver who can work under pressure and align with DPD values.
