LGV Driver

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) driver to join Breedon Group’s distribution team in Fort William. You will deliver concrete, coated asphalt and aggregates to customers and depots, ensuring safety, punctuality and compliance with all legal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate LGV (Class 2) vehicles safely in line with UK road laws and company policies.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any faults.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate manual‑handling techniques or equipment.
• Deliver products on schedule, completing accurate paperwork and digital logs.
• Communicate with the Distribution Department about delays, route changes or issues.
• Maintain load security during transit and provide professional customer service.
• Work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends.

Required profile

• Valid Category C or C+E licence with a current Driver CPC qualification.
• Proven experience driving LGVs (preferred).
• Good knowledge of local road networks and route planning.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Positive, hard‑working attitude with a willingness to learn about the construction materials sector.
