LGV Instructor

About the role

Arnold Clark is recruiting an LGV Instructor for GTG Training in Glasgow. You will train candidates to DVSA test standards, conduct practical driving assessments and manage course paperwork to rigorous standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily checks on training vehicles.
• Deliver driving assessments and Module 4 (initial DCPC) training.
• Instruct candidates on C1, C, C+E and, if qualified, PCV vehicles.
• Complete all required course paperwork accurately.
• Liaise with transport administrators and senior instructors.

Required profile

• Hold a Category C and E licence for at least three years.
• Strong communication and a patient approach.
• High accuracy and good literacy when writing paperwork.
• Professional appearance and reliable time‑keeping.
• Previous driver‑training experience is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Category C licence
• Category E licence
• PCV licence (if applicable)
• RTITB Forklift Instructor qualification (nice to have)
