LGV Van Driver & Second Man

About the role

LWC Drinks is seeking a reliable LGV Van Driver and Second Man to support deliveries across Cornwall. Working closely with the Warehouse & Distribution Manager, you will help ensure products reach customers safely, on time, and with a high level of service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the driver in vehicle preparation, performing operator maintenance and loading deliveries correctly.
• Pick and load orders, follow run sheets, and plan routes based on delivery notes.
• Deliver items, verify drop‑off, and communicate any stock shortages to customers.
• Return empty cases and gas bottles to the empties yard and store them properly.
• Support warehouse tasks when required, including stock audits and documentation.
• Maintain health and safety standards, wear appropriate PPE, and complete driver check sheets.

Required profile

• Ability to work safely in a warehouse and on the road.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Willingness to wear safety boots, gloves and high‑visibility vest at all times.
• Flexibility to assist both driving and warehouse duties.
