LGV2 Hiab Hook Driver – Days (Temp to Perm)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced LGV2 Hiab Hook Driver for a days‑only position based in Chichester. The role starts as a temporary assignment with the potential to become permanent, offering competitive pay and a supportive 24/7 agency environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate an LGV2 vehicle fitted with a Hiab crane and hook to transport loads across Southampton, Eastbourne, Guildford, Crawley and surrounding areas.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and electronic records, including break times in line with Working Time Directive regulations.
• Adhere to both agency and client safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely and safe loading and unloading of goods using the Hiab and hook equipment.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence.
• Valid Hiab Certificate (hook training can be provided).
• Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) card.
• Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than six penalty points on the licence.
• 6 months to 1 year of HGV2 driving experience.
• Good level of spoken and written English.
• Solid knowledge of the UK motorway network and Working Time Directive regulations.
