Licensed Conveyancer – Residential Property Lawyer

About the role

We are a niche, forward‑thinking law firm focused on quality, wellbeing and collaborative client relationships. As a Licensed Conveyancer you will own a dynamic residential conveyancing caseload from start to finish, working primarily on leasehold sales and purchases.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 60 residential conveyancing matters.
• Conduct pre‑contract enquiries, title investigations and advise on covenants, easements and other title issues.
• Prepare and review contracts, transfer deeds, certificates and related documentation.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, surveyors and third parties to progress transactions to completion.
• Undertake anti‑money‑laundering checks and adhere to regulatory and firm risk procedures.
• Provide clear, regular updates to clients and ensure high standards of client care.
• Support junior fee‑earners and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor, licensed conveyancer or equivalent residential conveyancing experience.
• Proven experience handling leasehold conveyancing matters.
• Good working knowledge of Land Registry processes and title documentation.
• Strong client‑care skills with the ability to communicate complex legal information clearly.
• Ability to manage a caseload, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and a risk‑aware approach.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office and case‑management systems; willingness to learn new technology.
