About the role

Join the team at Harvey Hadden Sports Village to ensure the safety and enjoyment of visitors using the swimming pools and surrounding facilities. This permanent, onsite position offers the chance to work in a vibrant community environment while delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all customers in the swimming pools and related areas to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service, adhering to professional standards at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the centre.
• Set up, break down, and store equipment in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Work flexible shifts, covering service needs and attending monthly staff training.

Required profile

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (10th Edition).
• Willingness to obtain a Swim England or STA Swim Teachers Qualification within 12 weeks if not already held.
• Enhanced DBS check for regulated activity.
• Knowledge of a range of sport and leisure activities.

Required skills

• Ability to monitor and respond to water‑related emergencies.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Effective communication with customers and team members.
