Lifeguard (Trainee or Qualified)

About the role

Join Center Parcs as a Lifeguard at Whinfell Forest and help create a safe, welcoming environment for guests in our Subtropical Swimming Paradise. Whether you are starting as a trainee or already qualified, you will uphold the highest health and safety standards while delivering friendly guest care.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor pool areas, ensure guest safety and respond to emergencies.
• Provide professional, courteous customer service to all visitors.
• Maintain cleanliness and uphold health‑and‑safety standards around the pool.
• Complete NPLQ training and demonstrate rescue, first‑aid and CPR skills.
• Pass a swim test during interview, including deep‑water dives and timed swims.

Required profile

• Strong swimmer able to complete the required swim test.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and communicate effectively.
• Friendly, genuine attitude toward guests and colleagues.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check before starting.

Required skills

• RLSS Pool Lifeguard qualification (or NARS qualification for qualified lifeguards).
• Completion of a 5‑day NPLQ training course.
• First‑aid and CPR certification.
