Lifeguard (Training Provided) – Full/Part Time

About the role

GLL is seeking Lifeguards to work at The Queens Diamond Jubilee Centre in Rugby. The role includes supervising pool users, maintaining a safe environment and supporting the wider leisure centre operations. Training will be provided for those without a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor swimmers and ensure safety in the pool area.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool and surrounding facilities.
• Set up and check pool equipment before use.
• Provide first‑class customer service and respond to queries.
• Assist with preparation and upkeep of studios, gyms and sports halls when not poolside.

Required profile

• Calm under pressure and highly responsible.
• Strong focus on customer service.
• Team‑player attitude.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices.

Required skills

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or willingness to obtain training.
