Lift Engineer

About the role
We are seeking experienced Lift Engineers to join Austin Banks in London. You will be responsible for maintaining a variety of passenger, goods and platform lifts, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all lift types.
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimise downtime.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency call‑out duties, including on‑call rota participation.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with legislation and industry standards.
- Complete service reports and job documentation accurately and on time.
- Liaise professionally with customers, site managers and colleagues.
- Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle in good condition.
Required profile
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Proven experience in servicing, maintaining and repairing lifts.
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
- Good understanding of current lift regulations and safety standards.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
