Lift Engineer – Join Talent Pool in London

About the role

We are looking for experienced Lift Engineers to join our talent pool in London. You will be responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining elevators, escalators and moving walks, ensuring safe and reliable operation for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and minor repairs of lift equipment following company procedures.
• Diagnose and rectify faults, perform advanced fault‑finding using technical manuals and test equipment.
• Conduct lift function checks – speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature and power supplies.
• Perform inspections, adjustments and reinstatement of lifts, completing all service documentation.
• Undertake site surveys and support client interactions as required.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in lift maintenance or related field.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work independently.
• Good communication skills with clients, service leaders and inspectors.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with multi‑brand lift equipment.
• Fault diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and handheld diagnostic tools (e.g., PDA, Expert+).
