Lifting Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Lifting Engineer to join our award-winning team, responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing a range of lifting equipment used by our customers across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Test and inspect lifting equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain and prepare equipment for hire, keeping it ready for customer use.
• Carry out on-site inspections, troubleshoot issues and assist with breakdowns.
• Dismantle, repair and replace faulty components.
• Support deliveries and collections of equipment as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and ISO-compliant workshop environment.
• Undertake additional duties as needed.

Required profile

• Hands-on attitude with a passion for mechanical engineering.
• Experience or interest in working as a technician or in equipment maintenance.
• Willingness to develop skills through training and certification.

Required skills

• Lifting equipment inspection.
• Mechanical maintenance and repair.
• Equipment testing.
• On-site troubleshooting.
• Health & safety compliance (ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
• Use of diagnostic and repair tools.
