Lifting Equipment Engineer

About the role

This is a field‑based position for a Lifting Equipment / LOLER Engineer, based in the South East of England. You will work on customer sites, carrying out inspections, servicing and repairs to ensure lifting equipment remains safe and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Perform LOLER inspections and thorough examinations of hoists, slings, shackles and gantries.
• Service, repair and maintain lifting equipment in line with PUWER regulations.
• Complete accurate inspection reports and issue certifications.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective repairs on site.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain company vehicle and equipment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Lifting Equipment / LOLER Engineer or similar mechanical engineering role.
• Knowledge of LOLER and PUWER regulations.
• Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently in a field‑based environment.
