Light Commercial Vehicle Technician – Preston

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop in Preston. You will work on a varied mix of cars and light commercial vehicles, delivering high‑quality service and repairs while developing your expertise in modern automotive technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Service, inspect and repair cars and light commercial vehicles.
• Carry out major mechanical repairs such as cambelt, clutch, gearbox and engine replacements.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and conduct MOT tests where qualified.
• Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately.
• Maintain efficient workflow while delivering high‑quality workmanship.

Required profile

• Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own tools.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities.
• Desirable: MOT Tester Licence (Class 4, 5 or 7).
