Light Vehicle Engineer – 12‑Month Upskilling Programme

About the role

Shorterm Group is offering a 12‑month paid on‑the‑job learning programme for experienced Light Vehicle Mechanics. The role combines hands‑on work with formal training, enabling participants to become fully qualified PSV Engineers with additional EV and HGV credentials.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex maintenance on light vehicles across multiple sites.
• Participate in the EV qualification curriculum and acquire IMI HGV accreditation.
• Work a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern, covering locations in SW8, CR0, UB3, UB2, TW2 and SE5.
• Document work performed and adhere to health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 2 or 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanics.
• Valid UK driver’s licence.
• At least 3 years of experience as a vehicle mechanic.

What we offer

• £40,000 annual salary paid weekly.
