Light Vehicle Mechanic Upskilling Programme – PSV Engineer Path

About the role

Join a 12‑month paid, on‑the‑job learning programme designed to transform experienced Light Vehicle Mechanics into highly competent PSV Engineers. The role is based in South West London and works night shifts (21:45‑06:28) on a 7‑on‑3‑off then 7‑on‑4‑off rota.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex maintenance on light vehicles during night shifts.
• Participate in structured training to obtain an Electric Vehicle (EV) qualification.
• Complete the IMI Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) accreditation.
• Adhere to health, safety and quality standards throughout all tasks.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop PSV engineering skills.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanics.
• Valid UK driver’s licence.
• At least 3 years’ experience working as a vehicle mechanic.
