Line Operative – Precision Fabric & Assembly

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Line Operative to join a busy, modern manufacturing team in Clevedon. The role is full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday day shifts, offering a stable 40‑hour week with no weekend work. You will work on a production line that creates precision‑cut fabric components for a range of applications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precision cutting of technical fabric materials to exact specifications.
• Accurately punch and shape required hole sections in fabric panels.
• Operate thermal equipment to melt, seal and shape fabric components safely.
• Maintain smooth line flow while meeting quality, safety and output targets.
• Keep the workstation clean, organised and free of hazards.

Required profile

• Excellent manual dexterity and steady hand‑eye coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Punctual, reliable and committed to a strong work ethic.
• Previous experience in textiles, upholstery, light assembly or similar is desirable but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Precision cutting of technical fabrics.
• Punching and shaping of fabric panels.
• Operation of thermal sealing equipment (heat tools).

• Pay rate £12.71‑£14.24 per hour (PAYE, rolled‑up holiday pay).
• Full‑time, 40‑hour week, Monday‑Friday 07:30‑16:00.
