Linux System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Linux System Administrator to join a skilled team of Linux specialists in Gloucester. You will help design, build and operate the platforms that power the business worldwide, thriving in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Linux server infrastructure.
• Manage email services and ensure proper operation of email protocols.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash or Python.
• Implement and support configuration management tools.
• Utilise orchestration tools for deployment and scaling.
• Administer SQL databases and support related applications.

Required profile

• Strong Linux server administration experience.
• Solid understanding of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP).
• Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
• Knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
