Linux System Engineer – Secure Government Projects

About the role
CGI is seeking experienced Linux System Engineers to join its Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit. You will work on mission‑critical, secure government systems, supporting both production and non‑production Linux environments while adhering to strict security requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance secure Linux servers across the infrastructure.
- Apply security patches, perform hardening, and ensure system reliability.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and support root‑cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and deliver integrated solutions.
- Document configurations, procedures, and compliance evidence.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a System Engineer working with Linux platforms.
- Eligibility for high‑level UK Security Clearance (British national, 10‑year UK residency, limited time abroad).
- Self‑starter with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Willingness to work onsite five days a week at a secure client location.
