Litigation Solicitor – Commercial & Civil Litigation (NQ‑2 yrs)

About the role

We are seeking a Litigation Solicitor to join our busy Dispute Resolution team in Essex. The role offers the chance to develop a commercial and civil litigation practice within a supportive, high‑quality environment. You will work on a varied caseload from day one, handling both straightforward and complex matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on commercial and residential landlord & tenant disputes.
• Handle professional negligence, TOLATA claims, neighbour disputes and contentious probate matters.
• Manage a personal caseload while collaborating with senior colleagues on more complex cases.
• Prepare pleadings, attend hearings and negotiate settlements.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with procedural deadlines.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with NQ‑2 years of experience in commercial or civil litigation.
• Proven ability to manage a varied litigation caseload.
• Excellent communication and client‑care skills.
• Proactive, commercial approach to problem solving.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with clients and colleagues.
