Litigation Solicitor – Commercial Law Firm

About the role

Our client is a family‑run, modern law firm based in Chelmsford offering commercial legal advice to individuals and businesses. They are seeking an enthusiastic qualified Litigation Solicitor or Legal Executive to join the team and work directly with the Managing Partner.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with referrers and clients, providing confidence and high‑quality service.
• Handle a broad range of litigation matters for commercial and individual clients, including landlord‑tenant disputes, breach of contract, debt recovery, insolvency and commercial litigation.
• Work with the team to meet monthly targets and KPIs.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, promoting the firm’s services to attract new clients.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or legal executive with approximately 4 + years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of litigation law and commercial matters.
• Excellent communication skills – confident, clear, articulate and welcoming.
• Professional and ethical approach, with a flexible and positive attitude in a busy environment.
• Team player who is motivated to develop their legal career quickly.
