Litigation Solicitor – Competitive Salary & Hybrid Working

About the role

A well‑established Cheltenham law firm is looking for an experienced litigator to join its thriving Dispute Resolution team. The solicitor will handle a busy, varied caseload covering commercial and contractual disputes, property litigation, professional negligence, contentious probate and debt recovery, providing strategic advice from the first instruction through to final resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end litigation matters, including pre‑action work, pleadings, disclosure and trial preparation.
• Provide strategic advice to a diverse client base of companies, trusts, charities and private individuals.
• Liaise with and instruct counsel where appropriate, and represent clients in court hearings, mediations and settlement discussions.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies, guiding clients at every stage of the process.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Proven ability to work independently on a busy litigation portfolio.
• Strong commercial awareness and a solid grounding in the full litigation lifecycle.

Required skills

• Litigation case management.
• Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques.
• Court advocacy and trial preparation.
• Instruction of counsel.
