Litigation Solicitor (NQ+) – £45k-£55k

About the role

We are seeking a newly qualified (or higher) Litigation Solicitor to join a well‑established civil litigation team in Caterham. The role offers a mixed caseload of civil matters, providing a solid platform for professional development and exposure to a variety of dispute types.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through to resolution.
• Advise clients on litigation strategy, prospects of success and associated risks.
• Draft pleadings, witness statements and other court documents.
• Conduct legal research and review evidence to support case arguments.
• Engage in negotiations and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate.
• Instruct and liaise with counsel and external experts.
• Represent clients at hearings when required.
• Maintain high standards of client care and compliance at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• Minimum newly qualified level (post‑qualification experience welcomed).
• Training or experience within civil litigation.
• Strong drafting, analytical and case‑management abilities.
• Confident written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters effectively and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, professional and client‑focused approach.
