Live-in Care Assistant

About the role

Bluebird Care is seeking a Live‑in Care Assistant to provide high‑quality, personalised support to clients in Lancaster and South Lakeland. You will live with the client, helping them maintain independence, dignity and wellbeing in their own home.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised care based on individual needs, including personal hygiene, dressing and grooming.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals, and assist with feeding when required.
• Support medication management, including reminders and safe disposal.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a friendly and familiar presence.

Required profile

• Kind, compassionate attitude with a calm approach to care.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Capability to follow care plans and instructions accurately.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not mandatory, as full training is provided.
