Live-In Housekeeper – Private Household

About the role

A respected private household is seeking an experienced live‑in housekeeper to join their long‑standing team. The family values staff highly and offers a stable, compassionate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full housekeeping duties to a very high standard.
• Manage laundry, wardrobe care, and the upkeep of silverware and artwork.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation throughout the home.
• Use initiative and work proactively, especially when the family is away.

Required profile

• Highly trustworthy, calm, hardworking, organised and flexible.
• Strong attention to detail, discretion and confidentiality.
• Excellent references from long‑term private households.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Comfortable around one dog and one cat.
• Preference for a UK passport holder.

Required skills

What we offer

• Live‑in accommodation with a good‑sized private bedroom.
• £700 per week after tax (approximately £2,800 per month).
• Flexible schedule: 4 days per week when the family travels (≈4 months/year) and 6 days per week when they are in residence.
