Live-out Housekeeper & Cook for Private Household

About the role

We are seeking a meticulous live‑out Housekeeper who will also prepare daily meals for a private family in Newick, East Sussex. The role offers a stable permanent schedule, competitive salary and the possibility of live‑in accommodation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver full housekeeping to a high standard across the main residence and six additional unoccupied properties.
• Perform deep cleaning, carpet care and regular upkeep of all rooms and surfaces.
• Manage laundry, ironing and ensure garments are presented impeccably.
• Prepare breakfast and lunches each day, typically for two persons.
• Provide dog care and assistance as required.
• Maintain household organisation, presentation and support the smooth running of the home.
• Work independently, prioritising tasks and collaborating with any household staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a private household setting.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
• Self‑motivated, professional, discreet and reliable.
• Physically capable of handling an active, hands‑on role.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary of £32,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Permanent contract, Monday‑Friday 08:00‑17:00.
