Locum Educational Psychologist – Cheshire West & Chester East

About the role

This locum position supports students in Cheshire West and Chester East by delivering statutory educational psychology assessments. The role is flexible, outside IR35, allowing you to set your own weekly schedule and work as many days as you wish.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct statutory assessments for pupils facing educational, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
• Provide clear, evidence‑based recommendations to schools, families and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HCPC and local authority standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Educational Psychologist.
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Available to complete at least one assessment per month.
• SEMH experience is desirable but not mandatory.
