Locum Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Unit (Southampton)

About the role
Vivid Healthcare are recruiting an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join a busy inpatient therapy unit in Southampton. You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care in an acute or rehabilitation setting.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of patients within an inpatient setting.
- Complete functional and cognitive assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Plan and coordinate patient discharges, including home assessments where required.
- Provide equipment recommendations and provision.
- Collaborate closely with MDT colleagues such as physiotherapists, nurses, and social workers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Required profile
- HCPC‑registered Occupational Therapist.
- Previous experience in inpatient, acute or rehabilitation settings.
- Strong discharge planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an MDT.
- NHS experience preferred.
