About the role

The Locum Pharmacy Dispenser will join Day Webster’s hospital pharmacy team in Newcastle upon Tyne on a temporary basis. This position offers a competitive salary and provides an opportunity to support the dispensing service while covering staff absences or peak periods.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescribed medication to patients and hospital wards.
• Verify prescriptions against patient records and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.
• Maintain stock levels and assist with inventory management.
• Provide clear information to healthcare staff regarding medication usage.
• Document dispensing activities in the pharmacy management system.

Required profile

• Relevant pharmacy dispensing qualification.
• Experience working in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is desirable.
• Ability to work flexible shifts to meet locum coverage needs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
