Locum Supervising Social Worker – Somerset

About the role

You will join an established independent fostering agency that supports foster families across Somerset. As a Locum Supervising Social Worker you will manage a small caseload of up to ten foster families, delivering high‑quality supervision, support and guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of up to 10 foster families throughout the Somerset region.
• Provide regular supervision visits and ongoing support to foster carers.
• Ensure compliance with current legislation, safeguarding standards and agency policies.
• Record case notes, produce reports and liaise with multi‑agency partners as required.

Required profile

• Registered with Social Work England.
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• Previous experience in fostering or children’s social care.
• Strong knowledge of current legislation and safeguarding requirements.
