Logistics Manager

About the role

Our client, a well‑established multi‑site business in the North East, is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead and develop its logistics operation across several UK locations. The successful candidate will own the performance of the logistics network, driving operational excellence, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple depot operations as an integrated business.
• Manage budgets, control costs and oversee overall P&L performance.
• Develop high‑performing leadership teams and promote accountability.
• Improve service levels, operational efficiency and the customer experience.
• Ensure transport compliance, health & safety and legal standards are met.
• Drive change, continuous improvement and technology‑led initiatives.

Required profile

• Senior management experience within logistics, transport or supply chain.
• Proven track record of leading multi‑site operations.
• Strong commercial acumen with budget and P&L responsibility.
• Excellent knowledge of transport compliance and operational best practice.
• Demonstrated ability to drive performance, change and continuous improvement.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
