Long-Term Supply Maths Teacher – Secondary School

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Supply Maths Teacher to join a high‑achieving secondary school in Middlesbrough on a long‑term, full‑time basis from September 2026 to Easter 2027. The role offers the chance to inspire pupils, deepen their mathematical understanding and contribute to a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons that align with the national curriculum.
• Use innovative teaching methods and real‑world applications to foster a love of maths.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and record outcomes.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to develop and share resources.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching mathematics at secondary level.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for maths education.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, colleagues and parents.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to diverse learning needs.
