Luxury Travel Store Manager

About the role

This leading luxury tour operator is seeking an experienced and dynamic Luxury Travel Store Manager to lead and inspire a team of travel consultants in its Cheltenham store. You will be responsible for driving sales, delivering exceptional service, and ensuring the store operates profitably.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for meeting and exceeding retail sales targets.
• Drive bookings by converting sales opportunities and achieving budgeted operating profit.
• Measure financial performance of staff and manage store productivity.
• Oversee day‑to‑day store operations, administration, and opening hours.
• Develop and coach staff to enhance performance.
• Create local marketing initiatives and campaigns to boost sales and build relationships.

Required profile

• Experience managing a retail travel store, tour‑operator sales team, or call centre with profit and staff responsibility.
• Proven track record of delivering strong sales results and exceptional customer service.
• Passion for travel, especially long‑haul destinations.
• Good understanding of the commercial aspects of tour operating, including scheduled flights.

Required skills

• Excellent working knowledge of at least one travel‑agent or tour‑operator reservation system.

What we offer

• Basic salary of £35,640 plus uncapped commission.
• 37.5‑hour week (including Saturdays on a rota), opening 9:30‑18:00 Monday‑Saturday.
