M365 Identity & Integration Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a M365 Identity & Integration Engineer to join a leading financial institution’s technology team in Leeds. The role focuses on integrating and operating applications within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, ensuring they meet identity, security, governance and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical onboarding of applications from design through to business‑as‑usual support.
• Design and implement secure integrations with Entra ID/Active Directory and SSO protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth).
• Translate functional requirements into detailed technical designs and ensure proper monitoring before go‑live.
• Manage app registrations, troubleshoot SSO issues and enforce security controls such as Conditional Access and MFA.
• Produce support models, runbooks and onboarding checklists for operational hand‑over.
• Act as the escalation point for complex authentication and access incidents.
• Collaborate with Microsoft 365, Cyber Security and Service Operations teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Identify and propose continuous improvements to integration and operational processes.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including SSO and app registration management.
• Proficiency in designing and troubleshooting Conditional Access and MFA policies.
• Good understanding of identity governance concepts such as RBAC and least‑privilege principles.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate SaaS platforms in regulated, financial‑services environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for authentication flows and related technologies.
