M&A Analyst

About the role

The M&A Analyst will join a high‑growth, private‑equity backed business in Chorley, supporting a wide range of corporate finance and business transformation projects. This is an ideal next step for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant moving from practice into a dynamic, acquisitive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide critical support across merger and acquisition activities.
• Assist with financial and commercial due diligence processes.
• Support implementation, management, and data cleansing of finance systems.
• Contribute to M&A disposal and reinvestment projects.
• Assist the Head of Finance with post‑acquisition integrations.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, IT, HR and other functions.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant, preferably making the first move from practice.
• Strong analytical mindset with a solid accounts background.
• Confident communicator and effective business partner.
• Ambitious individual eager to develop within corporate finance.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Data management capabilities.
