Machine Operative

About the role

We are recruiting a Machine Operative to join a leading food manufacturing business in Canning Town, London. This permanent, full‑time position works on a 12‑hour rotating shift pattern, offering a structured schedule and a strong work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and adjust production machinery to maintain efficient performance.
• Carry out basic machine checks and report any faults or issues.
• Ensure products meet quality and food‑safety standards.
• Follow company hygiene, health & safety, and food‑production procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve daily production targets.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives across the production area.

Required profile

• Previous experience in manufacturing, food production or machine operation is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and attention to detail.
• Reliability, punctuality and flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days, nights and weekends.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Proactive approach to health and safety.
