Machine Operative – Manufacturing Production Role

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Machine Operative to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Sherburn in Elmet. The role offers a temporary‑to‑permanent pathway, full training, and the chance to develop a long‑term career in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production machinery in line with company procedures.
• Set up and adjust machines to meet daily production requirements.
• Monitor machine performance and report any faults or issues promptly.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Load raw materials into machinery and remove finished products.
• Record production information accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area.
• Support other production areas when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production setting (preferred).
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, hardworking and eager to learn.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
