Machine Operative – Temporary Manufacturing Role

About the role

This temporary position is for a Machine Operative in a ventilating equipment manufacturing plant located in Whitstable, Kent. You will work on a 3‑month summer contract, contributing to the assembly of metal components and gaining hands‑on experience with production machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Build and assemble dampers, outer castings, and blades.
• Operate machinery and hand tools such as drills, hammers and riveters.
• Work with metal parts to construct functional units.
• Follow safety and quality standards throughout the production process.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a factory, production or manufacturing environment.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Experience using hand tools and measuring items.
• Engineering mindset or related experience.
• Motivation to improve personal and team performance.

What we offer

• £12.80 per hour (visible salary)
• 39‑hour work week (Mon‑Thu 08:00‑16:10, Fri 08:00‑16:00)
