Machine Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our Haddenham site on a permanent basis. Working a rotating shift pattern, you will operate both automated and manual production equipment to manufacture, blend and pack food products in line with strict recipes and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and work within established safe systems.
• Accurately dispense and weigh raw ingredients according to production recipes.
• Set‑up, operate and monitor automated and non‑automated production lines.
• Perform product changeovers, cleaning and re‑assembly of equipment to meet HACCP and GMP standards.
• Maintain line performance, efficiency and in‑process quality checks.
• Complete SAP transactions and required documentation for material and stock control.
• Identify, report and assist in fault finding of equipment breakdowns.
• Conduct clear shift handovers and support training of colleagues.
• Provide backup to other production areas and ensure the factory remains clean and audit‑ready.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory environment is preferred.
• Ability to work flexibly across alternating shift patterns.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene, health and safety.
• Willingness to support colleagues and undertake additional duties as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP for material and stock transactions.
• Knowledge of HACCP food safety requirements.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
