Machinist – Turning (3‑6 month contract, temp‑to‑perm)

About the role

This is a days‑based, 3‑6 month contract position for an experienced Machinist specialising in turning. The role is based in Bristol and offers an immediate start with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. Guaranteed overtime is available, providing additional earning potential.

Key responsibilities

• Operate manual and CNC turning machines to produce precision components.
• Set up, adjust, and maintain turning equipment according to job specifications.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to optimise machining processes.
• Adhere to health and safety standards on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Proven experience working as a Turner in a manufacturing environment.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday day shifts.
• Immediate availability or ability to start within a short notice period.
• Willingness to take on guaranteed overtime when required.
