About the role

The Mail Sorter position at Royal Mail’s Crawley Mail Centre is a permanent, part‑time role that keeps the postal network moving 24/7. You will work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment, handling a high volume of letters and parcels each shift.

Key responsibilities

• Unload mail and parcels from delivery vans.
• Transport items using trolleys and sort them manually.
• Operate sorting machinery safely and efficiently.
• Handle election materials and specific items such as food products or alcohol in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Maintain a steady workflow across multiple tasks on the sorting chain.

Required profile

• Upbeat, independent and self‑motivated.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
• Capability to operate basic sorting machinery.
