Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Dunstable. You will be responsible for managing repair requests from residents and stakeholders, ensuring timely and efficient resolution while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and log repair requests raised via multiple communication channels.
• Schedule and allocate repair work to trade operatives, maximising productivity.
• Manage each repair case from initial report through to completion, adhering to Council policies.
• Monitor open repair orders, perform regular housekeeping, and close completed jobs promptly.
• Identify and eliminate duplicate or unnecessary work orders.
• Keep residents informed throughout the repair process with timely updates.
• Liaise with contractors, operatives, and internal teams to ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and coordination abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Council policies and procedures related to repairs.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

• Competitive hourly rate of £15.57 – £20.20.
