Maintenance Electrician

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join a market‑leading engineering business at its state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility in Huddersfield. This permanent, full‑time position offers personal and career development within a multi‑million‑pound turnover international group.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation and wiring projects across the manufacturing site.
• Perform reactive and planned maintenance on plant and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Maintain and troubleshoot panels and control systems.
• Support facilities maintenance activities as required.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and execute effective repairs.

Required profile

• Recognised Electrical Maintenance Apprenticeship, City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
• Experience in installation, wiring, and working with electrical panels and control systems.
• Knowledge of PLC controls and programming.
• Understanding of PID temperature controls.
