Maintenance Engineer – 12‑hour shift, £39‑43k

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a large international company at a modern factory in Hampshire. The role involves 12‑hour rotating day and night shifts, providing planned maintenance, responding to breakdowns and supporting equipment upgrades within a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.
• React promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Deliver equipment upgrades, new installations and infrastructure changes.
• Perform building maintenance as required.
• Work under the guidance of a senior engineer and collaborate with a friendly team of maintenance professionals.

Required profile

• Background in maintenance or service engineering within industrial, facilities, FMCG, building services or similar environments.
• Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold NVQ/C&G Level 3 qualification in mechanical, electrical or multi‑skill engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical and electrical systems.

Required skills

• Motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, boilers, pumps.
• Inverters, sensors, relays, contactors, 3‑phase motors, PLCs.
• Pneumatics and hydraulics.
