Maintenance Engineer – Electrical (Yorkshire)

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical focus to join our manufacturing site in Mexborough, Doncaster. The role involves ensuring plant reliability through scheduled maintenance, rapid fault response and supporting new equipment installations. You will work on a 4‑on/4‑off shift pattern, alternating days and nights.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks and accurately document all work.
• Respond promptly to equipment faults and breakdowns, diagnosing issues and restoring operation.
• Assist with the installation, commissioning and testing of new machinery, sharing knowledge with the team.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on recurring problems to implement lasting solutions.

Required profile

• Level 3 (City & Guilds or NVQ) or higher qualification in Electrical Maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to industrial environments.
• Ability to commute from Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Wakefield, Worksop, Leeds or Huddersfield.
